The picture of the floating wood room was on the opposite end of house from the kitchen picture where the line break started

Maybe you would be saving more flooring if you had the right equipment.

    Scott,
Please explain what equipment you would use to save hardwood floors that are installed:
    A) glued down onto concrete directly

    and

    B) installed on concrete with vapor barrier, then plywood, and then glued onto or nailed into the plywood

    Thanks

While I don't particularly care about getting into the argument again or for saving carpet & pad, I will state that even if I were in a situation where removal were justified, I'd still extract carpet and pad to lighten the load. By the way, I have never, ever and I mean ever had a claim rep argue that!

We have an xtreme xtractor or rover on each truck, too good of money to pass on after hours weighted extraction charges.

One good size job will pay the extractor off and much easier to ride on a tool than to pick up and move a flash or water claw.

It's official. A couple of my guys are in route to Indy to pick up the Extractor from Jordan. They should be passing through the Lou about now. I sent 2 since it is a 7 hour drive each way. They are going to take turns driving to return this evening. Thank you Jordan.

We are not on any vendor programs and there isn't enough money to get me join one. I had all that I could take from vendors programs with my previous business.

Jordan I wish I would have thought to ask before I sent the boys up. Do you have any other Resto equipment that you are parting with?

Thats interesting so did you guys build your restoration side of your company from the ground up?

it seems around here most all water loss jobs come through big insurance companies and end up in the hands of serv pro or other big name national brands, I rarely see any independent companies out there driving around

It started as an off shoot of carpet and rug cleaning. As time passed our focused changed and it became the core business.

The big franchises get the lions share of the work nationwide. I'm not sure if it's a great deal for them or not. How would you feel about working below the going rate and then paying franchise fees on top of that?

Can't be very profitable work. But I'm sure they make it up in volume. :winky:
