There is absolutely nothing under the patch....no seaming tape, nothing.

I explained that it's just a loose piece of carpet this way and it needs to be done with the right tools etc.

She wants to buy the seaming iron right now to melt the carpets together :lol: "whele can ve buy that tool?"

Hell, even a potato burlap sack and a hot glue gun would be the poor mans repair..... Better than a loose piece....:yawn:

Reminds me of a repair job I once did in Colorado. Some "handyman" installed carpets for my ex inlaws and didn't understand the concept of cutting and seaming so he just overlapped the carpet edges and seamed away. Lucky they had lots of extra carpet.

I know the feeling well.

This clown removed the carpet from a wardrobe, cut it (too short), & placed it under the bedroom carpet where he had removed some carpet because the dog had torn it, trying to dig it's way out.
