I wouldn't recommend or trust this guy with any of your clients rugs. Claiming rugs always increase in value is a classic statement made by many dishonest rug dealers. The vast majority of rugs sold as "investments" in the 70s and 80s are now worth barely 10% of what was originally paid. New production rugs will be worth even less in 30-40 years.
Images of his work on his website look sloppy, mainly showing stabilization of old Karastans not hand made rugs.
Looks like he also does repair of art and antiques, no images of professional tools or equipment for handling any serious volume of rugs. Hardly any client reviews. The ones he posts on his site sound like he takes 2 months to clean a rug, the appraisals given seem about $8-10k higher than real market values....it's all very fishy.(
