Are you using 1 single rope for all pulleys Tom? On my system I use 1 complete block and tackle on each end of the pole. I run the rope from one end through a loose pulley and pair with the second set, so that when raising or lowering the pole, I am pulling on 2 ropes, one for each set of pulleys. Your looks like it might be simpler.
