its not a bleeder in the general sense that its the rug's dyes... when the artisan creating the rug laid out the design, instead of using something easily removed like chaulk, they use a pen/marker, this gets hidden undeather the tufted (sometimes woven) pile and rears its ugly head when we wash/clean them.

It is cotton and I bet Viscose Rayon acting like a linen look . Looks like high ph to me. Alot of blacks will bleed red or green green tint. I guess depending on the hue.
