Looking for a decent sealer. Granite was installed a few weeks ago and not sealed.

What's the procedure for applying it to shower walls?.

thanks,
Albert

A couple of possible products that work well on granite - Premium Stone 7 Grout Sealer from HydroForce or Heavy Duty Sealer by Stonetech.

For walls, you can apply with a clean sponge and wipe it onto the surface. I suggest two coats. Because of the humidity, heavy use, water, often lack of proper cleaning, sealer on a shower wall will almost never work effectively as long as it will on a floor.

If it is polished and in a shower, DON'T SEAL. You're asking for trouble. Does it even need sealing? Probably not. Have you not read any of MB's (R.I.P. MB) posts on the DG board? Do the water test. If the stone darkens after water sitting for 20 min, then you can seal. If not DON'T do it.
