Have any of you run into this type of VCT? Usually when we have VCT that is loose it does not buck up, just sits flat and we can repair it by applying more glue. This stuff looks like it has swelled up or expanded. Any info would be great.

Disposable pre-glued tile. More akin to squares of linoleum than the VCT you are used to. What you see is a verrrry thin printed vinyl wear surface.

Cheap, not meant for heavy use.

yup... what lee said...

+ the added bitch...they added a "grout" line to it....

I have a couple i do...NO STRIPPER at all....scrub and recoat with a neutral cleaner...

the stripper will just break down that glue if it gets under it...

Actually this stuff is closer to VCT than vinyl self stick squares ... same thickness as vct.. it was the predassor to the duraceramic and durastone that is on the market today. Typically the buckling and curling occur from lack of maintenance and water sitting on it. We sold about three jobs of this very product and 2 out of the three were very happy, the third had us replace it with a wood floor in less than three years... but they wanted wood to begin with so??
