99.5% here. I only have two jobs that day. I scheduled around it. Out of towners will be driving stupid and clogging up our already under engineered roads.

I think Chicago is like 80-85% or so.

It's a big day for us, my 6yr old starts 1st grade and it's my 3yr olds birthday. Dad/me has the day off.

It's a big deal around here. My father in law and his three sons are heading to SIU Carbondale, IL (100%). He met his wife there(school) and two of his kids and myself went to siu, nice reason for him to go back.

don't know where NE Ohio fits in in the viewing
But it'll be just another day in my world as far as work

Years ago I got to see one in just about as perfect circumstance as one could .
all by happenstance too

Mid/late 80s I was working at the shop and happened to be welding at the time.
half hour on/half hour off job.
Work area right near the door to outside
Blue bird sunny day
Had no clue there was an eclipse that day til I heard some guys talking about it

welding helmet in hand, I walked outside and gazed at the event

it was pretty cool for sure

I'm gonna try and work. but there gonna be double the population of my county on the road in my area that the smart people are predicting, so I'll probably be late to my scheduled job. I'll take a 2minute break when the big ball gets in the way of the sun.

If the sun is being covered, why can't you look?

Just not that into it to do the research
at totality you can

before and after you'll burn your retinas causing permanent damage

you basically fry the nerve tissue like you would ants with a magnifying glass

might also witness miracles

I couldn't give a flying f*%k. If I happen to be in a room cleaning, Ill turn the friggin' light on for a minute, or two. A weather report that I just seen shows a good portion of the area with cloud cover. I have a brother and sister in law that will be in Vegas just to see it. And gamble. And drink.

Good possibility that Man and his kids will have permanent eye damage.
I think the eclipse craze has gotten alot out of hand.

Good time to be an eye doctor on Tuesday.

I checked out my $2 glasses with a few test so I could feel good about my family looking through them.

I remember the last one 27+ years ago.. Same shit, different day.. Haileys Comet too..

Yeah but at least Halley's comet brought along a space ship and some of the lucky ones -with their Nikes on- were able to check outta here.
I've been by the house where they transitioned from, to their spaceride....I was looking for another portal or a sign that maybe have been left behind for some other lucky ones that couldn't offer the uniform with the Nikes... Maybe I'll come accross a secondary exit to the spaceships for those of us only sporting a NewBalance or FUBU.
