ugh!!! lost reverse yesterday in van :(

this really sucks..looks like it gunna be 1400.00 to rebuild the trans in the new van..but 1400.00 is 1 truck payment..and when its done i will have a 2 year warranty..

glad this happened now and not in the middle of busy season..thing that sucks is im still recovering form the blower purchase..never ending i tell ya!

If it makes you feel any better I am on my 3rd transmission on the savanna, the 2nd tranny was a rebuilt junk yard special $1600 w/ labor, lasted 6 months, than the 3rd is a Jasper tranny $3500 w/ labor and the 100k warranty.

Is the $1400 a month truck payment for a new butler van?

yea..that 1400.00 is close to what a payment would be on a loaded to the balls unit..unless your credit score is in the 800's where mine was 5 years ago lol

i had a option to go with a used trans but decided to go with the rebuild and warranty..i pray it doesnt go much higher once they rip it open..shaking with fingers crossed lol

When I had one rebuilt it was never worth a crap. Yet it lasted longer than a year. The other one was a factory rebuild and it was a very good tranny and a faster turn around.

When we rebuild our tranny on our vs it is about 2600 with a 3 year warranty on labor one year on parts .

Yea every time I call with a tranny problem they tell me $1,800.00-$2,400.00. It's always $2,400.00!

You guys nailed it..2800$ after tax and all.

Overdrive pin dropped into trans destroying it pretty much.
Long list of parts to replace.
2 year 24000 mile warranty though.
