I've had a good life, and will do my best to keep living it.

I grieve for the wasted young and what could have been.

Why ? Are you also f'n nuts? Do you often stalk people or write dozens, if not hundreds, of crazy ass emails/texts?

Spare me the "you don't understand" bs. There is a difference between being depressed/suicidal and just fn crazy/seriously mentally ill.

or at least that is what my Dr. says.......:winky:

a taste....hell I stopped even saving them there were so many

If you are looking for context there honestly isn't any......

Just yanking your chain Fred. I know you have reason to feel the way you do.

    Sometimes I lack empathy too.

    Empathy for who exactly?

Surely you realize there is a difference between you and the insane right?

This guy's behaviour demonstrated that he was much more than clinically depressed. Not just here either. He was banned for similar behaviour on all the other forums.

I feel bad for his kids. That is why this thread/the link to the gofundme remains.

edit: and fwiw we/Mike reached out to him when he first seemed to be going off the rails (Mar 7, 2017). He was banned again shortly after. There is only a certain amount of bs we are willing to expose ourselves/our families/the forum to

I have empathy for people dealing with mental issues but that doesn't mean I think Mike should feel guilty because this guy had them.......

In all seriousness, this is a terrible tragedy . It's natural for anyone that connected or communicated with Ed during the last 6 months to possibly feel like they could or should have done more.

He was a young man with a beautiful family that needed him and he unfortunately desperately needed help

That email was a glimpse into this troubled , tortured young mind

I worked with Ed several days before he passed. He had many things changing in his life and was trying to make changes personally. He was lucid and sane, able to deal with his customer in a relaxed, professional manner. We had a normal conversation on the way to the job and on the way back. He discussed the changes in his life in a way that expressed confidence that he could adapt and work through it. There were no obvious signs of any mental instability. I don't think there is anything anyone could say or do when someone makes up their mind to go that way. It's always a tragedy but sometimes completely unavoidable unless that person seeks qualified professional help. There is absolutely nothing that casual friends and acquaintances can do, except lend support and maybe a listening ear.
