I can't seem to find a post I had from a few years back so...

This is about 2,000 sft of exterior travertine. It was just installed and has sand in the cracks. The lady wants it enhanced.

Should I just use the Cobb's enhancer and be done with it?.

Any other recommendations?

How long do you think it will last?

thanks,
Albert

Enhancers fade outdoors, most manufactures will tell you to re apply after 1-2 years...after tons of research & I trying several of the top enhancers I have settled on a 2 step process, first you enhace as normal then come back the next day & apply a solvent based sealer to slow down the evaporation & to act as a barrier from the effects of weather, water etc...

The 2 products are made by Surface Treatment Technologies http://www.stt-sealers.com/stone-care-s ... s-products

Give them a call & tell them your surface & conditions...they will help you out.

Albert;

The best enhancer will depend on the amount of sunlight the travertine is exposed to.

We have 2 different enhancers for different UV exposure levels.

Our standard Dynachem Enhancer will work well outdoors in less than full sunlight.

If the trav is in full sunlight, it will need a "new level" of protection.

Thanks for the replies, I'll look into those.

Larry, which is your best enhancer for the application. There will be full sunlight but I'd rather it be an impregnator...no sheen.

thanks
