a good real estate PM friend of mine passed away this past Thursday.

i payed my respects Saturday night and met his wife for the first time (cleaned their home many times over the years with just the key under the mat, check on the counter)

she said she wants the home cleaned sometime soon as lots of family and friends will be through the next couple weeks.

How do i gift her with a free cleaning? should i send a condolence card after the clean saying it's free or tell her when she calls to set it up???

I'd not say anything until you are done...When she goes to pay you, tell her then...

Leave it instead of a receipt, and don't take the check. Unless you need to feel the gratification of the offering.

Do the job, when she goes to pay just tell her what you wanna do and why, just out of respect, as T said, just that simple. :wink:
