Not that dirty, just long halls. Parking garage goes up to every level.

5000 sq/ft and down $.25, 5000 to 10000 .20, 10000 to 20000 .15, 20K and up .10 to .12. Start high and adjust. Have a good reason for the adjustment.

I respect Clark tremendously but I would like to suggest that if you bid the amounts he's suggesting you will not pick up that job. On the other hand, you may not want the job if it's a complete PITA, without getting paid handsomely.

Sorry for being a butt wad, No I'm not...

If you don't know what you need per hour or per sq ft to make a profit then you are just another flippen wanna be. Your jobs need to be priced accordingly. This guy helped me years ago "Chuck Violand" He had a program which was very easy to figure costs and expenses so you know exactly what you need to charge and be sure you are making a profit. By asking others who don't know you are sure to lose your shirt.

eMail him at cvioland@violand.com Tell him that asshole Watson sent you..

What Clark said sounds about right. Don't give it away....IF they want TM. You get what you pay for....

just ask the guy what it will take to get the job, and then take it or leave it.

I did a high rise w/ a tm and caused the smoke detectors to go off. The entire downdown Indy fire department including hook and ladders showed up. I hauled ass before I got caught!

Mike, forgive me, but your profile says you've been in biz 12 years.
is that carpet cleaning biz???

you don't know roughly how many sf pr hour you can clean?

I'm not jumping you, Bro, i promise, but figure that one out and you'll have an idea of what to charge pr sf based on what "you" want to make per hour.

I don't know what they get for com in Tampa, but we don't do a lot com cause it's tough to get what I want.

I'd be more inclined to bid higher too.
cause cleaning a "highrise" with a TM is a PITA

How many sq ft total?

How challenging will the cleaning be?

Are there spots, gum, tar, that need special attention?

Are there drink spill stains?

What is the likelihood that the job will be done on a REGULAR basis?

How accessible is water and electricity?

When will the building be accessible?

Will there be occupants in the building during the cleaning?

What obstacles will you have to work around?

Is the customer easy to get along with?

How readily will you be paid?

Where are you located in the country?

These are all factors to bring into the equation.

If it's a LARGE account you could start at .10 per sq ft, and then adjust up or down according to the variables listed above.
