Some of you need to get out more.
I'm outside a lot.
I wanted to be jerimiah Johnson at about 8 yo. Just wander into the mountains and leave society behind.
Pretty happy where I'm at now cept for a neighbor.
This is my idea of a VACATION!
When the kids were young, we'd spend 6-7 days on a Disneyworld vacation
As an adult, the only way to hit Epcot is with your ride times confirmed online
While waiting go through the worlds
The Fireworks display each night on the water is cool
And NeVER go to Disney during high season. It's a zoo.
We used to go the week before Thanksgiving. Veterans Day the kids had no school so they usually only missed 3 days of school
My idea of vacations now are new Islands to visit, my wife's best friend wants to take an Alaskan Cruise next year. Don't care for cruises but that particular one sounds interesting
Besides the obvious for me,
I enjoy staying in town when many others leave for the holidays. Even if I have to work, it's still peaceful.
Another resident of BrokeDick Mountain I see
I think there are different vacations for different times in your life.
What I enjoyed as a young single adult was different than the places I went as a married partner without children, and different than where later we went with young children in tow.
At nearly 60 with a like minded partner, I tend to like places without crowds and noise. Carol and I find beaches "off season" good places to relax, and my Death Valley tour with Mike reminded me how much I enjoy the desert for its emptiness and peace.
having lived in Orlando a short time when i was on the lam
i went to DisneyWORLD once...
i wouldn't wish that place on Marty......
Yeap, It's a popular place to live. That' why it's nice when 25% of the population leaves.
No large crowds. Warm sun. A good place to snorkel. Interesting food. Maybe a tennis court nearby if there were any other people that played.
A damn Cracker Barrel was all I could find for breakfast.
Worse than Epcot.
Fresh biscuits, sausage gravy and grits that weren't made 2 days ago. What's not to like about southern cookin'?
I know they got Okra and pinto beans and corn bread for the vegetarian crowd.
That IS NOT southern cooking!
It is an interstate gift shop that serves mediocre, at best, food....
and afaik the pintos have meat juice in them....pic from their menu seems to confirm
didn't they roll hEDs down those steps?
Thousands from what I gatherd
from what research i've done on the subject.......i believe there is enough blood in the hED that
the poor person that had that done to him has a few seconds of consciousness was AWARE
of his hED bouncing down those steps....
Do you ponder things like this often Bob?
