With my tires, I use a penny. Everybody knows about that one.

What about glides?

Maybe the Green One needs to send out a "gauge" that would tell you when it was time to change it.

OR may be there could be a color indicator, like on some toothbrushes or when you get near the end of a roll of adding machine tape.

Anyway, WHEN is it time to replace a glide?

The Forsythe mathematical equation for glide use is - sq. root of the $ you paid = number of months of useful glide use.

If that doesn't work for you, then remember when it stops gliding, it's time to replace it.

On wool carpets I find as it gets low, it tends to leave a line in the carpet where the smooth edge tacks have chewed it out.

My first 2 have both lasted 18-24 months each... can't really remember.

At $300 or so each, I feel I've had a good run our of them.

Time to update again.

Just picked up a new one from GG, cause the old one was about flat. Still like the slotted version the best. Noe I need to replace the RX 20 glides....they're about gone.
