What is safe to use on this white cotton rug with some browning issues?

20 vol ?

Was previously over wet by another 2 cleaners. Backing is loose, can feel it separated.

Only rinsed with furniture tool. It didn't get much better.

Looking for something to mist on the keep as dry as possible. What about making some foam from Releasit oxy encap and apply the foam to the browning.

Thanks

A lot of times with those rugs being over wet the latex will make its way to the top. Causing mote of a yellowish color.

As already stated I would use an oxidizer, something like CTI Stain magic for wool. Spray it on, brush it in, and wait a few hours to see what result you get. It usually takes a couple treatments but it should lessen each time.

Sorry I didn''t catch this earlier. What Harry said about color from latex is the likely cause of the discoloration. On these thin cotton hand-tufted rugs you may be able to remove it with dry solvent or any number of other cleaning products - temporarily. It will ALWAYS come back. Once you touch them you own them; the customer will return every two or three months to show you how your cleaning made the rug worse until you give up and buy it.

These were really hot for a short while, with almost every designer with any kind of a following building a website to sell them under their name. With the exception of Martha Stewart, none now sell this type of rug and most of those websites are gone.

Think about applying sizing to the backing b4 cleaning to lock in the "knots" (sizing is: 25% latex-75%water, apply with Wagner power sprayer or similar ). Use Haitian Cotton as pre-spray and rinse with Drymaster or Sapphire upholstery tool. use low moisture and maybe clean several times if needed-- use gentle finesse as opposed to nuking it.
