Ken,

You miss-spelled a word in your post....did you mean...."Whoing".......

"Going" you old coot.

HOPING you two old coots.[/quote:toh1q142]

Ken is a man who stands in the present and calling on the future. A lot more powerful to say "going to do more like 3/4 by the year end" Rather then "hoping to do more like 3/4 by the year end"

I could be wrong, but I don't hope for anything. I make it happen.

And I am an old coot. It takes one to know one.

I do in the summer months

hwe because that is what they want, OP only when I need a fast turn over

a combination of quite a few chemicals, depends on what the carpet looks like and the warranty it has

not quite that much anymore, but almost exclusively HWE as well. As we get back into it I will incorporate some encap for maintenence, but the backbone will still be HWE.

I don't do it monthly like above but in summer I exceed that for about 2 months. Last year I used powermax, this year I finished off the powermax I had on hand then used Pros Choice extreme clean. They wanted HWE because they wanted the best possible clean because they only clean once a year. VLM is for those who want to keep it looking clean year round with HWE periodically.

I do a tad bit more than that every month. One large church I do has a full-time child care center that I hwe every month. I also hwe the "fellowship hallway" every month due to it having kitchen traffic on it with the grease and food spills. All the other areas of this building ,and also the other accounts I have, are pad-capped, or encapped once a month with scheduled hwe cleanings ranging from once a quarter to once a year, depending on the situation.

You'd have to be pretty deranged or stoopid to encap in the presence of God and to charge for "cleaning".

I did mean hoping, but agree I really should have said going. Challenge is commercial work is disappearing and competition is more fierce in detroit than res is. We were doing close to 3/4 mil a month a few years ago but that division has been down every year since 9/11. This year will be the first year with an uptick due to some sales staff changes and additions so we should hit 3/4 month avg by year end or at latest by next spring. I try to be a realist as well as optimist.

Yep- Rob is kickin ass and taking names. Jeff & Kristina (inside Commercial Cleaning Coordinator) are doing really well too. Looks like for September we cleaned in the neighborhood of 600,000 sq ft. commercially.

All depends on size and situation i.e. furniture to be moved, hose to be strung etc. I would gues that 60% plus is 2 man but that is just a total guess. It has no impact on our costs. Often on medium to larger jobs it will be 2 men with 2 trucks (specialist and assistant each run one).

I used to clean carpets for a video store chain. I would HWE them because it was what they required. Most stores had about an acre of filthy carpet (not exact measurement). I presprayed with Traffic Slam spiked with a citrus and an oxy and then rinsed with Last Step acid rinse and anti wicking agent which seemed to work pretty good on the Gummbe Gone/Liqua Gel/Pro-Solve spots.
