Under no circumstances will I mention my colleague's (Jeff) youth and inexperience :winky:

Don't call back or sweat it. He will call you back.
Or better yet, call him back and leave a message- "I am never calling you back".
That will seal the deal right there. I am telling you.
    Guaranteed.

surprised at the landscapers (if we're talking mowing and not retaining walls and sprinkler systems)

there's a big difference in service outfits that can do 2, 3 and 5 jobs a day
Like cutting lawns, RotoRooter snaking drains and carpet cleaners .
Those outfits can be and are more responsive

compared to outfits where one job takes days, weeks or even months .
The big outfits don't want to monkey with small jobs .
They're busy doing sub divisions, Walgreen's, schools and medical facilities

The small time contractors that do res, get boughed down and buried quick
They might make time to look at job, then 3 or 4 jobs they bid months and months ago all pop at the same time and they're buried.
you get put on the back burner
(if they even bother to return a call to go look at what you want done)

Just the way it is, Ofer

My screen on my phone doesn’t seem to be picking up on what is written on the hand.... does it say Chavez? Or is it a tattoo from a German concentration camp?

    lets try this

do you know what it's like to get calls from stupid people that don't have a damn clue of what they want?
or deal with morons that think a $20K job can be done for the $7K they have in the budget?
and deal with ding-dongs that know damn well they don't have enough money (and never will) but still want a kitchen layout price?

and if they have an accent that sounds central Asian or mid east, I hang up on them and block their number

if it's not a hot lead that ready to go, or a referral, contractors don't sweat ignoring you .
You're just not important to us

go find some dumbazz that hasn't figured it out yet

    is that better??:winky:

Not at all. But thanks for trying :winky:

I am talking about good people that are not price shoppers. People who want a fair price yet something resembling a responsive service provider. I totally understand (we all do) not wanting to waste your time and effort on the people who are wasting your time.

On second consideration- Me thinks I like your non dik persona better :winky:

Theres a massive shortage of tradies because so many learned at school that sitting at a computer is a hard days work, so if you want a tradie then you wait for them

Doesn't ever seem to be a shortage of new startup carpet cleaners

    Dan,
I dig that. One can still be responsive.
Its both common courtesy and a good business practice. Ya never know when the hard times are gonna knock on your door.

    Something friendly like:
    Dear...
Thank you so much for your interest in . Unfortunately, we are booked till December 2079.
Should you care to wait, we'll gladly forward your queue #.

what I described is common in my area of the country .
I'm am a bit surprised it's the same in Ofer's country though, given such a high Mexican population
The Beaners ain't lazy up here like white city boys and black folk

the landscapers, roofers, siders and drywall contractors love 'em ...cause they're not whinny bitches and will work

maybe Ofer needs to por favor presione dos para español
