Will 1/4" water supply hose supply line starve our water pumps?

I'm in the process of changing some things around, and I want to make water supply easier and quicker. I might be getting a water tank on board, but if I don't...I want to make water supply easier. I know that 1/4" hose is easier and quicker to unroll and roll up compared to a 5/8 or 3/4" hose.

So is it doable? Does anyone use a 1/4" hose on the water supply side to feed the truck mount?

If you wait til later to thank him, you'll be banished to the land of Lone.

And be condemned a broke dick for losing out on all the millions you save with him.

You know when I really save money?????

When I'm not spending it!

You have to supply more water than your pump can use. 3/8 going in, 1/4 inch coming out.
That's why I brought this subject up. I saw some idiots on Facebook a few months ago talk about using 1/4" hoses. I figured I'd check with you guys before I started messing with it

I used 3/8 hose, I think you could use 1/4 but if you do a lot of wide open 3/8 is much better choice. When you fall back and do dry passes your water box will recover water.
Dual wand won't work with either ¼ or ⅜ they just can't keep up.

Or if you do a lot of tile...

Or is you have 2nd tech that keeps lead from having to stop.

The worst that will happen, unless you have low water shut down, is pump cavitates and lose pressure...
