If you want something stronger you can always use Rick's Encap Hydrox its works good. It would have the extra punch of peroxide.

Yep... EncapHydrox has the oxygen release that the others don't. However, it's not as concentrated (more oz per gallon) as the DS2 so shipping can be costly if you order in small quantities. Actually most peroxide based products are in the same range of concentration to avoid haz-mat designations. That said, it will take out spots that the others in his line won't i.e.: coffee, & other organics.

Ask Rick? Maybe you can.

We used to with Snake Oil but I really prefer to use a formulated solution. Hydrox or Peroxcellent.

If it's that bad you can add a booster or increase the dilution too. Ask Jeremy he sells them all and has many years of experience using low moisture exclusively.

Peroxide based encaps are way to expensive,

I just add 2 to 5 oz per gallon of 40 vol to my encap of choice ( if it's needed.) Or just pre spot with a little 40 vol before hand.

I buy 55gal of hydrox at a time and get it at a big discount. It works 2x better for me than ds2.

Btw, that pic is a MONTH later. Heavy traffic call center. Was trying to prove to a new facility manager just how long OUR clean, stays clean.

Ashley;

What was the left side of the photo ?

Was that cleaned at the same time with another method ?

On our DC Encapsulate (double strength), peroxide can be added when ready for use.

We use the peroxide based encap cleaners more for correction of water staining or lightening up yellowed out gray carpet.

For heavily soiled we use more concentrated product 4oz instead of 2 oz. Or add a few ounces of Magic Bullet or SpotNboost.

We've used the Encapuclean Green DS and it smells and works pretty well. Never tried the O-2 but if you can use it for tooth (as in one) whitening that's a definite plus. :icon_rolleyes:

For those thinking of adding O2 to their favorite product, not all encapsulation polymers are the same. Some can be mixed with O2 while others can not for a variety of reasons. Test a small amount of your solution before you decide to mix up a big batch.

Our Encapuclean O2 can be spiked with a bit more O2 if you ever find it necessary. But don't add it to our Encapuclean with Maxim.

Good Point Scott!

Glad you corrected some of the bad advice given earlier.

Are you talking about my advice? I never said add 02 to interlinks product.

Just saying I add it to the product that I use, saves from having to carry another product.

Different polymer. I remember Rick telling me something about the peroxide reacting with the polymer thats used in DS2.

As has been said, some peroxide based products, even neat hydrogen peroxide, can upset the encapsulation process.

Mike asked about a stronger product, try Encap Punch, a heavy duty encap; that works great on greasy soils.

I can't comment on Rick's Hydrox as we don't get it down under.

I do use a local brew that (as others have said), wipes out those coffee, cellulosic browning, urine and other organic stains.

I always add it to the tank when I have a light colored carpet.

If I have a smelly carpet, previously I have added Sporicidin.

Now, I add some Sporicidin Fresh Scent instead.

I see the Dirt Axe is a "Film Former" like Cobb's shampoo.

So where does one Shampoo become Film Former and the other an Encapsulator?

If it drys crunchy or not?

Right now I'm loving the Releasit line (Hydrox, Punch, and DS) but need to place another order soon. Going to give the Dirt Axe a try as I have heard that it's just as good as Encap Green might even better. He was a reliable source as well.

We have gone thru 11 cases of the encapuclean O2..this stuff works real well on organic type soil situations.

Usually spike it with 40vol to make it even more hardcore.

But releasit ds is 4oz to a gallon where as the encapu o2 is 10oz to a gallon.

 I didn't want to mention that but I do a bunch of times. An oz or two to really accelerate the peroxide...
