So… why do you buy what you buy?

When it comes to purchasing chemicals what are the three things you value the most? Or what influences your buying decisions?

Dilution Ratio? Ease of Use? Versatility? Cost per Gallon? Cool labels? Or you just really like Tim Baker?

Thank you in advance for your feedback

Brand name, trust in the manufacturer beats cheap shit. Cheap shit is just that, cheap shit.

I don't mind spending for the primo stuff but as Porkchop mentioned it should be mostly solution and less water. I can mix water later.

I also want it surface specific. I don't want to compromise effectiveness because its doing too many things. Leave that for the jan/san and big box store products.

Product support is nice. I use some of cti's products simply because they come to Nashville and offer a class for using their products and have technical help easily accessible by phone. They don't cut into my prochem ultra pac traffic clean budget though!

It has to work...not one time..but every time..consistency is very important.....
I don't care what it cost...if its doing its job...then it is making me money....( but lets not get stupid about it..)
smell...it has to have a fresh smell...the last thing people want is for you to put something down and have a bad chemical oder in there home...fresh smells clean...

Laura, I am shocked at the level of maturity you have brought to this group of pre-pubescent schoolboys. Not one of them mentioned "hot babes" selling the chemical. (However, I can GUARANTEE you Richard was thinking it.)

Steve

PS Big Billy Yeadon constantly preaches that cheap, sub-standard chemicals are one of the poorest business decisions anyone can make.

If you haven't noticed, Joe Domin is no longer with Prochem anymore.
He took his act to SS, including the "Grandma's Aftershave" and "Southern julip" scents of the products. Though Prochem proudly seems to be the keeper of the stench flame.

"Spinster Delight" is a great perfume, much appreciated by our anosmia inflicted and female deprived friends like Chavez, Suttley, Nate.....etc.

Get rid of those perfumes!!!! Or give us the option of perfume free products. That is PLEASE.

Other than that:
  1. Consistency of performance.
  2. High concentration is nice, takes less space in van.
  3. I prefer powders, if possible, as they survive the van's environment better.
  4. Integrity.- Sell me a specific product if it really performs better. Not to increase sales. We never have enough space in the van.
  5. Fragrance free products.
  6. Reasonable price.
  7. Literature to help us market to clients and be able to prove the claims.
  8. Hardy labels that don't scuff easily that don't tear and that are nt damaged by water.
  9. And my pet peeve, a smaller labeled container (less than the gallon) that I can carry in the van with a good hardy label. For our OSHA friends. So that I can save space in my overloaded van. Be happy to pay full price for it.
Did I mention no perfumes?

.....A fresh clean smell .......Don't listen to Ofer! ;)

Hey, prairie boy, if not moi, which other heathen should she listen to?

Freaking "fresh clean smell". No such thing.
Actually ozone smells fresh.

quality/efficacy
consistency
reasonable dilution rates

That Heavy Artillery stuff (or whatever goofy name it's called) is a ridiculous dilution ratio
Did Cobby label that juice??

Obviously it has to work but should also have no smell or close to none. I can add that later if needed.
If water based as strong as possible. All powders must dissolve completely and have no fillers.

It has to work and I need to be able to rely on it to be the same consistency EVERY time I buy some.
It needs to smell good without overpowering the customer.
I like powders, so it needs to mix easy. I don't like to have to shake it until my arm is sore. I don't want it to foam up when I mix it either.

I have made a note of your feedback in our quality system. If you could e-mail (laura.ortbahn@karcherna.com) or post a specific scenario(s) when the products under performed it will help us improve! Thank you for your honesty! The only way we can improve is by first being made aware!

Laura, is Prochem considering an app? A couple other chem companies have either a stain guide or general cleaning chemical guide (or both) and I find them helpful sometimes. One from you folks would be very cool, as I like and use several of your products. Iphone, Android (and a few odd windows phone users) are out there....

Having a Prochem-specific app that recommends specific products for various scenarios would influence purchasing decisions on occasion, I would think.

Or am I out of touch and you already have one? I'm an Android user.

It has to work all of the time
Fairly priced. Power breaks down in hot water easily.
Labels that last. Clean smell.

What I would like:
Manfacture date, Shelf life, PH on the label.
Prochem does well in the questions you asked about.

Welcome
