Until they come out with actual specs CFM, temperature... let the people who have been using these in the field post their honest opinions and experiences then this is still just an interesting idea. My hope is that this is going to be a really great CDS machine and by great I mean comparable to the Butler 500 cfm. high heat CDS or very close.

It's the most amazing machine on the planet.

That nobody's talking about.
What are you talking about? Every time something new comes out with this machine, it's at the top of the list of new posts for several days/weeks

Mostly the 4.8 Blower same as what's in the Apex and 570

Spinning at 3000 rpm lots of vacuum for sure I think they set it to 13 hg. Could be 15.

All posts by non-owners (or beta testers). Mostly Hydraster itself.

I don't hear my blower at all(Peak or Apex), unless my waste tank lid is off.. That high pitch blower whine is horrible IMO..

Hearing it on a video and standing right next to it is two different things.

If you look at the shot of the gauges toward the end of the video you'll see:
temp: 220 degrees
Hg: about 12.5
RPMs: just under 3000
How is that different or better than most other machines on the market? If that is the machine's peak performance, it's not impressive.

When it was at Vegas, it had lots of suck and good heat. Not any noisier than any other tm there and quieter than most.

It's in a Transit van.

It may not have significant difference in performance from lots of other machines out there. However it is NOT a slide in and if you hate the Government Motors vans...

My belief is it is costing them at least 5k more to build this machine vs a machine they can put in the Chevy van.

This has a generator, an electric motor and motor controller compared to a driveshaft and hole in the cowling plus all the same other items in your direct drives.

Also this direct drive only works on a van that was designed in this century. The Chevy has no roof height options and rides like a 1960s truck---oh wait it was designed in the 60s.

Is the xdrive a more complicated machine than a traditional CDS?

The direct drive buyers love simplicity and reliability.

Will the xdrive be able to deliver those things to a similar or greater degree?

The answer to these questions will determine it's success.

I like innovation....

I like a number of things they are doing here...

I just am not a fan of aluminum tanks....

I have a number of friends with aluminum tanks ripping them out and welding bottoms in them, and other patches....

I don't need crazy heat, but really like the heat I am getting out of my units now with the high heat option, and I like a heat exchanger I do not have to worry about cleaning out the fins....

I will drive a chevy yet....don't mind it at all....

Again, great innovation taking place here though overall....but Stainless....give me quality stainless...
