I'm putting together marketing materials and building the commercial side of my business. The large FEMA job really got my juices flowing and I now see what is possible in commercial. I'm moving forward with a marketing plan and targeting businesses with 10k sqft or larger only.

I just want to say thanks for the ideas @Desk Jockey. You got me started in the right direction.

Here is a little sample of my marketing folder that I have designed so far. It's still a work in progress. I'll be including a bid worksheet, a tri-fold brochure about my business, customer review page, some swag items, and a commercial business card. I'm putting 100 packets together to start, and we'll see how it goes. If I can get a couple of these big buildings, I'll buy a couple more orbots or Cimex's and hire a couple of guys to skip around behind them.

Sample of my folder.

How hard do you want to push that owner operator part? Some commercial accounts won't care, some will be afraid you don't have the resources to do large square footage amounts. If you're going to use "call US" then ditch the O/O part. If you want to push that the owner does the work then use "call ME". Other than that, it looks great.

I'm open to suggestions, but I'm not going to split hairs. I'll probably take that O/O out.

I removed all the O/O hooey. You had some good points.

Design a commercial Facebook ad that follows the 20% rule so you can boost it. Set a budget and start sending it to businesses. It doesn't have be a huge spend. Just be consistently out there.

Quotes without names, unless you're from Topeka, don't mean much.
Add names, location- anything that makes it more credible. And if you have some commercial account quotes, that's will be even better, since that's what you're trying to promote.

You're trying to create a great first impression.
Backing them up helps only once you've past that stage. If you can, add names. It helps with credibility.
Unless, of course, you happen to come from.....

Hey Richard, you don't need that, everybody knows you over there (that is they know you write your own reviews :winky:)

Last week a homeowner that had a fire was speaking to her adjuster about the cleaning of her home. The adjuster recommend one of the franchise's but the homeowner said she only wanted us.

The adjuster said she had never heard of us but she could use whomever she wanted. The homeowner said "You must not be from around here".

We got the job just because the homeowner wanted us.
