Wouldn't it be easier to paint them purple prior to the install? Screenshot_20190329-072900.png

We do full wraps now. Getting the color right was actually the hardest part. We used to paint them ourselves but our painter retired and we had to look elsewhere. We figured that wrapping made the most sense since we shouldn't have to paint them white again when we sell them.

And since we don't paint the inside purple, it really doesn't matter when it is painted/wrapped.

have your methods or materials changed at all since Ken's passing?
That's a good question.

One of the big things that impacted methods was to add a layer of managers. This gives us better over site of employees as well as more time to look at new methods and services. We needed to find our way and I believe we are lot more focused on who we are as a service provider because of it.

These are some other things we have done since he has been gone:
  • Added Duct Cleaning.
  • Opened 3 new Rug Care drop off depots and moved a 4th to a better location.
  • Rebuilt and modernized our Moore's machine to handle added volume.
  • Installed a new heat system for our rug dry room to speed up drying time.
  • Eliminated bottlenecks in the rug cleaning process to drastically improve turnaround time on rugs.
  • Turned over our entire vehicle fleet (almost.. we have 6 trucks left that Ken bought.)
  • Added GPS tracking on all production vehicles.
  • Added permanent spot dying.
  • restructured our management staff to give more time for planning and training.
  • Remodeled our offices.
  • Replaced a 25 year old telephone system with 3 new systems in our main sites that connects all our sites with an intercom call.
  • Restructured our data/phone package to improve quality and lower the price for our 9 different locations.
  • Bought the "other" Hagopian.
It is quite possible that Ken would have done most everything on this list as we needed to update ourselves to better handle the additional volume. He was conservative by nature though and several of these he may have felt as unnecessary.

The time it takes you from drop off or pick-up of a customers rugs until they are ready for pick-up/drop-off.
7-10 days for most rugs at all our drop off locations, 7 days for pick up and delivery. It can take longer if they need repair or major stain removal.

At our original store, which also has our cleaning plant, we offer 2 day express service for cleaning only. This is only for rugs that don't need repair and don't have major staining.

Not sure what Brian does but i use various drycleaners as drop off points. I give them a commission on the rugs and it frees me up from making appointments. I have about 20 stores around my area.

I'm interested as well. We opened a drop store one city over and then stopped expanding, but as traffic gets more difficult the idea of having them all over to reduce the amount of driving we have to do is more appealing.

What's nice about having them scattered around is that, you can direct customers to the nearest one, pick up when you are just passing by, the agent calls the customer when ready.

Our cleaning plant is in an area that has declined over the years. We added the Express Service to keep the volume of rugs flowing there. Plus it adds a unique service that not too many people can match.
I offer a two-day rug cleaning service. I will clean your today for a small phenomenal fee. 🤣🤣
