Wonder which OP would be better if Orbot decided to downgrade their advertising and come here?

I had to look.....their campaign isn't active right now but they have been advertisers fyi. We were also going to sell them, and others, at one time but chose not to get into retail.

I can't recall Mike being as "excited"

I have known Jeff and Tom Hruby for 15 plus years.

They've been to my house and many of my events.

Great people and a very nice looking machine line up

They will be the first to tell you that they hate and run from the owner op market share.

2 jobs today

a wasted white nylon that needed replacing ten years ago, lots of invisible pet ppe

It got a heavy prespray and wand rinse, looked 70% better.....$424

Next job just a tad bigger, just as old but spotless and almost no wear, I could have easily have padded it but the new owner deserved a good flushin

Dev paint filter had about two cups of grit and yarns in it from 1300 sf

I'm gonna help you here Mikey. Nobody really gives a flying rat's ass about your ticket price. If it makes you feel superior than you might want to look inward because there seems to be a lot of negative responses to it. In the words of the famous Vincent Anunziato "Who cares?"

Well idiot - why do you feel the need to put in your prices with your pics? "It got a heavy prespray and wand rinse, looked 70% better.....$424"
Today I did a strip and wax on a laundry room and shitter and the 14 carpeted halls were done by my helper. 5 hours and $$$.69.

And for crying out loud buy yourself a decent portable so you don't have to spin a rag. Mr. Marriott might cut you a deal on something in his stock. I can hook you up with a used powrflite,
Your reading comprehension sucks worse than your portable.

The op had nothing to do with price, idiot.

Go to a DIY carwash and use just the spray system to was your (dark colored) vehicle..

Let it dry..

See all that dirt still stuck to the paint because your didnt use the brush?

Plenty of carpets just need just that level of soiling removed....

I understand.

Honest observation, no revelation. If we actually do what we purport to do professionally as cleaners, vacuum, agitate, extract, set fans, do we actually need giant TM’s if time isn’t of the essence? Average TM
yes.

That’s one of the stupidest things I’ve ever read from you, and that’s saying a lot. Pre-rinse agitation isn’t unique to VLM, I scrub every job before I rinse it.

What if your carwash only used the brushes and then some chamois machines tried to soak up all the gunk?

Or, maybe that carwash rinsed the damn carpet after the brushes scrub it?

What method will do best?

VLM on residential carpet is an absolute hack stunt.

Because some idiot decided to market VLM to residential customers a hundred years ago, now we have people investing a couple hundred dollars in Oreck Orbiters and starting their very own carpet cleaning business.

It devalues our industry.

Maybe I should try a rinse-free carwash.

Probably be as good as rinse-free dog shampoo.

I say we all help you pay for your free Trinity stuff, so we can get back to reality.

Not at all, I was a residential VLM hack for
years.

I probably have forgotten more about proper VLM cleaning than most people here will ever know.

I was actually successful, but I prefer being a good person.

There are two reasons to VLM residential carpet:

1) you’re broke and can’t afford to properly get into this business.

2) you’re lazy.

I don't vlm residential carpet but some jobs I am on, I could because they are not soiled. I understand why some people do it. Often, it's for the quick drying time. I don't do it because I have such good tm and portable equipment, which doesn't leave room in the van for extra stuff but I can where it can be valuable with some of my customers. Best to do what you think is right and let others do the same.

If I was a mechanic and some mechanics used a soda can and chicken wire to fix exhaust leaks, I’m going to call them out. Because it affects the industry.

There is a place for vlm in residential. Doesn't replace hwe but compliments it. Get that knee off your neck, you will think more clearly.

I wish a company would change my mind. I’d love to not pull hoses and spend tons of money on truckmounts.

I’d shout VLM praises if a company could sell me on it. Maybe things have changed in the last couple years.

There's a video of an IICRC class where the instructor was saying everyone did a certain area in the convention center. Host did the best job at a convention, where everyone chose the worst spot for the Host representative. The instructor said there is no one best system.

I talked with Anthony Hernandez who did the Mikey's Board event in Atlanta (at least I think it was Atlanta), (It's on the video where they show how much sand & dirt the CRB picked up).
He went head to head with Mr. Saiger in the entry of the hotel.
He said he used his Trinity for 9 minutes, boom clean.
After 9 hours of HWE the other guy cleaned both sides so that you couldn't see a winner. Lol.
Since then Mike and Mark both use Trinity's. Not solely, but when it's best.
I like how Mark tries out every type of equipment.

Why do certain people talk trash about something someone else has learned. And persist in calling them a sell-out. Reminds me of people calling other people a rascist. You can't disprove crap like that, and it's disrespectful. It reminds me of someone using swear words because that is the scope of their vocabulary.

Like you said, there is room for both. A contractor would go broke using only a circular saw because he couldn't do finish carpentry. You won't hear a good contractor bad-mouthing other equipment, because he knows what he is talking about. Psst, anyone who says there is a better vlm machine than the Trinity on carpet, doesn't know how to use the tool or what he is talking about (in my humble opinion).
