I want a little more heat and a little more vacuum.

My little 318 handles most things, but I want to be a littler faster.

So, will the 370 do what I want, or is the 570 what I need?

I don’t use my TM for commercial carpet... ever.

My dealer will give me 10k for my 300 hour 318.

So, the 370 will cost me 9k, the 570 will cost me 16k.

After my trade.

Let’s hear how stupid I am...

BTW, I only paid 12k for my 318, so I’m not taking a huge hit.

I just don’t want to spend 7k more than I need to... my average hose run is 100’... 150’ around 20% of the time. I’ve gone over 150’ three times in almost two years.

Go and use someone's before you make up your mind if you can. Better to have more heat and power than you need than less. Spending more for the 570 will benefit you in the long run. Maybe you will want to start cleaning commercial. Nothing wrong with the 370 but not enough of a difference from the 318 in my opinion. A little better vac and heat but the 570 will blow you away.

For what you're doing maybe adding another tool would be a better option. CRB, Rotovav, Zipper.

570 would be the deal but from what you're doing not needed. You'd notice the heat and vac difference but is it worth the added expense when you're not doing commercial work?
I CRB every job.

I just notice a decent vacuum decrease at 150’ with my 318.

I didn’t necessarily need the 570. The 370 would have served me well. The only reason I jumped on the 570 was the longevity of the liquid cooled Kubota, and the helical blower. Not that I think the helical lobes are a game changer. But that the helical gears will last longer. So it was basically the build quality of the 570 which sold me over the 370, not cleaning performance.

Have you seen my tall transit 650 setup there's mumblings of selling it and getting a gorilla box truck in exchange...

I'm not sure what slide in they would put in it though I'd like to keep the 650 but my opinion doesn't matter over there anymore
Box Van's handle a lot differently. The Gorilla looks cool but it's not going to be as nimble as your Transit. They can be hard to park and you have to watch the height with tree branches, parking garages, building over hangs.

Space is nice and they sure look sweet but looks don't equate to handling. Its mushy and slow, it can be an acceptable trade off for having a rolling shop with you as long as you know what to expect.

60 something grand for a transit is steep. I like it. I want it. But.......never say never, right?

This is one of several Spartans we had. They handled better than a standard box but still not like a van or Transit.

You’re asking me to be a hack.
Few days ago, took my 360i out to put some airmovers in and came across this.

Would of been easier on my body with some agitation, but would of still taken around the same time. To get a result you wouldn't visibly really tell the difference..

With a 570, you can turn up the flow on your 12” wand to 8 or 10 and move that wand with fewer wet passes. If you get that 370, you can only use 4flow, maybe 6 to get the guaranteed high heat.
