Chavez is going to start cleaning carpet again as an OO?

I always sigh when I realize I've been working with carpet cleaners as a supplier/trainer since the 70s.
In that time, I've seen a number of guys get out of the business, and later get back into it. The stories usually follow one of the scenarios below:
1. Guy gets out of the business to get a "real job" (usually at his frustrated wife's behest). The "real job" disappears, and he comes back to his original "love".
2. Guy gets out of the business because of divorce. (Sometimes, at least partly, because he didn't follow through on the above stated issue with the wife). He get's a job somewhere, but the realization of the income potential, or more often just missing the satisfaction of improving the appearance of things helps him find his way back again.
3. Guy sells the business, and the guy who buys it runs it into the ground. Original owner goes back because the marketplace wants him badly enough to make it worthwhile. Sometimes the existing business is still around, so there is a bit of legerdemain needed to get around the non compete clause.
4. Guy goes to prison, and business fails while he pays his debt to society, as it were. He gets out, can't easily get a job, but can reopen the business or start a new one. This is very common.
There are a few other reasons, but these four sum up most of them.

Except for the prison part, that describes my life almost perfectly. My first attempt on my own was with my brother in law. Company named after my sister. Then they got divorced. Second attempt, I was doing well, then got married. Seemed logical to have a regular paycheck. Sold that business to one of my former employers and took a job with him. That lasted about a year and I was off again. Worked for one of his competitors but that didn't last long. 1990 I went back on my own and have been there ever since.

Is it she don’t want you to start a biz, or just don’t want to look at a truck in the way? I’m sure she looked at em about all she wanted in your career and her life. But I do see how you could go at your own pace in your position. Like my stuff, vans and all, my wife partner built herself

I told her my son or son Inlaw could have it when I'm done. She says they don't want to be in business.

I’m doing a trashed empty tomorrow. Even trashed won’t be bad. Just messing around at my leisure isn’t so bad. At least not having to GRIND.

I was gassing up this AM and ran into a childhood friend gassing too. He asked if I was retired. I told him about starting over at the University. He said he wasn't either, still babysitting his crews. He owns a plumbing company.
We both agreed we couldn't just do nothing. We will both probably always work. lol
I’d like to see you cranking up a Rage tm while pulling hoses out of a newer 10ft express box truck.

Speaking of crews out, we had crews out both Friday and Saturday night doing event cleanups.
Back in the saddle, well not me, with that kinda work. Nice for it to be open up again.
