I'm at a VRBO unit at Tahoe. When I last talked to the guy on Friday is only concerned as would it be dry enough for a new renter to come in on Wednesday.

The estimate for four bedrooms, three staircases and five pieces of furniture $720 and there ain't no way I'm getting started before I receive payment from this first time customer.

I prepped the house and we'll start vacuuming but if I don't hear from him by 11:30 I'm out of here, what would you do?

If it's a new client who is not going to be there, I usually take a visa payment over the phone or e-transfer.

Put that spotting towel over the faucet spout.
If the hose comes loose a little (and it can believe it or not) you won't be spraying water across the floor unknowingly for an hour.
It'll hit the towel and dribble into sink

no washing machine hook-up?
Much safer than faucet hook-up

That particular faucet will sometimes leak internally when pressurized, and the water will go back and UNDER the fixture. A pretty good leak even when the washers are intact. Not a problem in routine use.

About 1 in 20 have this casting flaw.

it's not a tighten tight fitting --it's just snugged as it should be
cycles between pressurized when water box is full, and unpressurized when filling can cause it to loosen enough to dribble or fine spray

and any hose hook up inside or out you should crimp the hose to check if back pressure holds.
If you do that, you'll never flood the walls or basement from a frozen broke hose bib.
Like I know some of you have....

It ain't rocket surgery, but it helps if you have a little common sense
