When wiring one of these to frankinstien i took this consern into consideration , so with my wiring the machine will work manually if i leave the remote at home, but while thinking about your machine, it's a simple fix. What you can do is wire a toggle switch between the 2 positive wires on your remote controller so when the switch is in the off position the remote controller works as it does right now however if the toggle switch is turned on it will bypass the remote controller and your machine will work as it did before the remote controller was installed regardless of what buttons you push on the remote, (you can do the same thing with a jumper wire but you'd have to open the panel and install and remove it each time) anyway it's a thought i had about this consern of yours thanks again for this idea. Thanks. That would be pretty sweet.

It is great working solo with the remote. I dont have all the options, just on/off. I have yet to see if starting and stopping with the machine in the working position will take its toll on the clutch. Good for now. As far as accidentally hitting the on button while driving, since emergencey brake is off, im thinking it would just kick in on idle speed.

The real shocker is if I leave it with power off, leave the remote at home, go to the job and cant turn it on. I forget wiring stuff real fast when I dont see it for a while, and would be sitting there like an idiot. Calling the office to hurry up and bring the remote.
Mr Mikej i have another solution for your conserni ordered this remote also so i can have a button handy on the machine, as it turns out i tend to leave the remote in the home on a windowsill next to my coffee cup. As it turns out this unit comes with 2 magnetic remotes i only need 1 so if you pm me a shipping address im more than happy to give you the extra one,it comes with a metal pad if you don't have any steel handy where you want to install it. This way you too will always have a button handy. Dwaino

It’s always a good idea to visually inspect each time you turn on.

His name is blocked as part of a legal agreement....that he is kind of rabid about being enforced

Spoken like a person who never started or stopped his equipment without going out and manually doing it. (who's freeflow? )

I'm an idiot but what happens when your heat is all the way up and you just turn it off? I always keep my machines moving or cool them down I don't think I would just shut them off

What happens with your machine when the wastetank is full? Back in the 90s before i started using PTOs my slide in just shut down till drained, it didn't go into a cool down mode.then pumpouts came along , but still if the tank filled it shut down. The way my pto bypasses high pressure water is looped back into the inlet side of the pump instead of to the waterbox as im to understand most slide ins do today. (Still you can't let it run indefinitely without squirting water eighter)As a result each time the water loops back into the pump it gets hotter so letting the machine run for long periods of time without squirting water is hard on the pump, without the remote on the machine i have to make several extra trips to the van on some jobs. I work "1 riot 1 ranger"
(1 technician to a machine, ) in my case it is a real convenience to be at the end of the hose several hundred feet from the van and simply press a button and go about my business moving furniture, sifting equipment up or down stairs, talk to customer, answer cell, whatever it is that stops me from squirting solution then when ready, simply press a button and continue cleaning

Got my Thermalwave up and running from being winterized. That remote start/stop is noticeably missing on it. Got so used to it on my Hydramaster CDS 4.8. What a effecient option especially when solo.

MJ how's the remote switch working out for you? You've had some time under your belt with it.. @Mike J
I use it frequently and it works great. Still the same battery in original fob.

There is no way I could fill these orders without. It lets me finish rooms as I go and my machine time is getting way lower. So Im giving it a great review. I have a back up ready to go.
