I would have loosened or removed the Dishwasher Air Gap & Soap dispenser & used hand polishing pads around the faucet.
Yup, I have a FEIN MultiMaster.A multitool with the velcro sanding attachment is a godsend. It gets into the corners and tight spots with a vengeance. Cut your pads to fit.
Davis my have explained, we have all explained but that still doesn't stop the customer from complaining. I have bid on plenty of jobs where a plumber was required & the customer balked, sometimes you can work by "hand" around the faucets but not if there is a light source especially in this situation where there isn't backslash & its a kitchen island.I dunno, Jim, Davis struck me as a level headed young man. He probably explained it to the customer up front.
