Randy,
BlueLine made numerous changes to the new
Vortex.
1. Added a blower heat exchanger for more heat, and a side benefit is further quieting the blower exhaust.
2.They redesigned the actual blower silencing mechanism to both quiet the blower further, but also it is redirected straight out the rear, so there won't be any issues with a downdraft that can cause problems with plants and such.
3. The unit is made with certain components repositioned, so the unit takes up less room in the vehicle, and is set further back several inches, and I mean several! Almost a foot.
4. The diesel engine exhaust is wrapped for heat retention.
5. The overall front panel area is made cleaner looking and a third pressure outlet is added right front & center.
6. The entire blower/pump section is enclosed in a cabinet. I understand that this area is not yet finished in that they will be adding hatch access, a silenceing lining material, and a fan for cabinet temp control.
7. The new flooring material looks like a composite rubber, "gym floor" material. The new flooring is I'm sure also sound deadening.
Bottom line is that this is the quietest AND highest performing
Vortex yet.
