What I have found that may cause issues, is the difference in air breather boxes . I am currently working my way towards moving a unit from a circa 2007 to a 2019 Chev van. The new vans air box has an auxiliary plenum that needs to be worked around. This is a 6L-6L swap from a double v-belt drive to a serpentine drive due to the space limitations at the front end.To answer the spirit of your question, there are other potential issues. Perhaps bolt locations for the belt tensioner and the clutch (front end attachments).
The shaft has to be on the same angle as the engine crank, and fit in a precise area often in conflict with AC compressor or other components. That will be issue #1, that will dictate how to proceed.
Haven't had that problem with the shorter belts. A 1% stretch adds up on the longer belts.Good luck running those 1 inch wide serpentine belts!
When they stretch 1 inch................they fail
