Not bad deal, 15 student employees, 3 janitors I manage. Janitors keep the building clean, students flip the rooms for the next event.

Boss is very nice and the work is fast paced. We are always running and preparing for the next event.

The only negative has been all the walking but I've even got use to that after a month. :winky:[/QUOTE

Walking from your desk to the chocolate bar machine?

Here's a little portable that I picked up today for $250. 17 gallon rustler with a 150 psi pump and 2-2 stage vacs. Lightweight and great for situations where you only have 1 power outlet available. This one is in immaculate shape. Looks like it's hardly been used.

That's a good machine. You will need 20 amps on the cord that powers the pump and vac motors. I have one without heat and converted it to 2 power cords. Works great on small jobs, plenty of vacuum. Eventually I will convert to 2 13.8 vac motors instead of the current 9.8 amp motors. More power is always good. I have a separate inline heater I use with it.

I avoid all buffets except KFC. Got sick once from all people sneezing and farting all over the food.
I blame it all on the illegal mexicans who make that food and try to pass off as chinese.

I would take a serious look at the powrflite NOMAD. Light weight, 220 psi, good vac and lightweight. Hoses & wand included. $1400

Did MeAt get the Mytee?

sure did
Cleaned my carpets the next day
No drips, no runs, no errors ….and even makes hot water.
I was able to do a damnfine job with it

Already sent dipwad (daughter's dOmestiC pArtnEr) out to do several empties with it too
It's near paid for it's self already

One thing I know for sure though....I'd slit my wrists if I had to use a porty full time to clean carpets
(Dipwad has never known/used a TM) so he thinks it's great if he makes fiddy cash on percentage for a couple hours work

I’m old, use a porty, sometimes, but never, ever pick one up. Even drag the spotter on a cart. If I had to use any everyday, much less pick it up, I’d slit my wrist.

400$ on ebay. If I have to use a porty...this is the one that will be in the van. Light and easy to use...spot cleaning most likely.
The $3000 dollar Ninja Warrior will stay in the garage...hope I never need it. View attachment 84188

I have the EDIC and it great but doesn't go up the stairs easy good for 1 floor units. I just picked up a old original rug dr. R-40 changed out the pump and vac. Now blue in color and use it for furniture and spotting. Make it easy to get through the day. jz
Jack im curious what pump and vac you used as an upgrade on your R-40?
Ive upgraded the orig 35psi Oberdorfer pump to a 150psi Shurflo, and upgraded the orig 2 stage 7.2 Lamb Vac to a 3 stag 7.2 on mine. Upgraded front casters to 3 inch and rear wheels to 7 inch as well.

Really wanted the big one with the 16 inch tool but this was what I could find and it is like new. Spent it's life at the Los Angeles City Water and Power Building and looks like it was used a couple of times and put away. Still one day I will pick up the big one.

Hi Bob, i got a couple of the bigger R-150's that came with the bigger VB-16B 16 inch wand which weighs like 40lbs. I prefer the 12inch RE-VB-12B, VB-12B or smaller 10inch V-10B myself though.
The early ones without the B were the steel ones that rusted , and the later B models were all stainless and are beasts! I have a new in box VB-16B still in the plastic that i dont even use.
