That's exactly the reason that the Steam Genie was the best damned machine ever built....no Lint boxes lint bags or anything else to worry about.....
I bet ya I can remove ..spray off and replace my filter BEFORE you even get yors out....so there!!!!
Art Kelly was gonna GIVE me his wm.....I looked at that cockamamie filter system and politely told him no thanks....

My butler only has the in tank filter at this point. using it for hot mop water mostly and to hose off windows and siding.

I'll probably get something newer in a year or two and let Genny keep the butler.

And I don't have time to mess with rearranging things at this point. Don't have a decent shop neither. Once the new shop is built and I get things set up the way I want ill probably be as old as you and just not care.
Seriously my tools are scattered between a shed my basement and the new storage unit. I need this building which is on the list for spring and then I can start thinking about projects again. I'm tired stressed and physically wore out.

That's a stupid reason not to take advantage of his good nature. Wish he would've offered it to me.

Not why I bought it but what it became.

My two worn out units made us over $163,000 last year without thousand dollar payments. Some large repair bills but still a lot cheaper than a brand new one. And actually they have been very dependable too. Most repairs have been to the van not the machine. And more precautionary than needed.

I don't like new things. Old dirty and tattered so I don't feel the need to keep it polished or worry about tree beaches in driveways or driving in rain snow and mud.

I like to tinker with things. Take them apart figure them out turn some wrenches. On new stuff I hate to touch it. Afraid to scratch it or break it then I get upset.

I like to use things not look at how pretty it is.

From what I've been reading here guys are making thousand dollar payments and repair bills.

And I can swap a pto into a new van too. Actually want to put in an older panel truck.

And for the record I like the 2002 $3000 WM better than the 2010 $20,000 butler. Might have to put a tranny in the WM and keep it going a few more years. Its been weak since I got it and my mechanic looked at it when I got it and said the band's looked terrible. There is a long pause before it grabs when I put it in gear and the rpms are high getting it moving. Once it gets up to speed it seems ok.

The motor uses a lot of oil but seems ok otherwise. Probably a loss of horse power though.

Talked to a fellow gunnut friend that happens to be a respiratory doc .
I asked him about Chantix

his reply,

"larry, if you don't want to quit, nothing will work"

That's always been (and still is) my problem.
I don't "want" to quit , but "should" quit for all the right and sensible reasons

butt..if I do, I'll keep a pack just like I keep a bottle of bourbon .
so, toss them both in the dED carcass box at my funeral

For about $5,000 modernistic will pull and install for me. Already been looking into it.

But guess you would be surprised at what I've accomplished in my life. I may seem like a big goof here but there's a reason for that too.

so what exactly is Spicolli doing to filter his vacuum?

nothing?
Right now nothing. I do have the blower filter. My sewer clean out is covered in ice and snow so I'm dumping onsite or in my gravel parking space for now.

Don't you know who Jay is? More fitting I thought.
