The smallest one starts at $17.000 more than a GM van. Guessing the break-even point at about 6 -8 years if you score a tax rebate and charge it at home.

And... if you can get one. It seems Ford has gone all Tesla by delivering any promised vehicle in a year to be named later. Good luck.

‘nobody is ‘cloning a Bane’

its an underdriven 33 blower that delivers 50 CFM at 4 inches of HG

best we can hope for the future of E Mounts will be large battery sources capable of powering a 45 blower for more than a couple hours

wont have radiator fluid to heat the water so a secondary heat source would be required

I’m buying a couple of new Butlers as soon as they become available and riding them off into the sunset

I thought that might be the case. The motor seemed too weak to me. Thanks for the info.
I have a Monsoon with duel LX vac motors in series and a Mytee M-5 with duel 3 stage vac in parallel.-- I think the M5 is stronger. but the monsoon is lighter, so I use that instead.
I had an ETM with quad 3 stage motors in parallel and series-- and that seemed the best for an ETM-- I wish I didn't sell it.

But buying a Butler to counter CA's upcoming ban on small engines might be the best way to go.

B a n e. system is a positive displacement blower that spins direct coupled to a 1 1/2 electric motor at 1725 rpm

when you add lift through vac turbulence in longer hose runs or locking down on a carpet the relief valve is set at 5 inches of Mercury but starts to relieve earlier

its a very well designed machine that performs worse than the worst portable on the market

anyone that tells you otherwise is both an idiot and shitty businessman 😂

and if the Ford electric fantasy were somehow to become the only option moving forward from today, I’d buy the newest Vans I could find and install Butlers

There's too many investors in coal and oil. It'll always be the main source..

Maybe California and Seattle will enforce it. If they do, they'll just have dirtier carpet

but leaps in tech are happening all the time now

that's what it will take
and that's what I said .

otherwise it will be a steady roll of continued improvements.
Not unlike the equivalent of boomers and genX'ers when Wilbur and Orville took off.
They were dED too before aviation became a commercial sucess 'cept for niche use

and I'm saying it is happening right now.....unless you have an expiration in a couple years you will see it especially in urban areas.

Yep

and to use the aviation advancement example… all things related to propulsion are petroleum based

pretty sure there are no battery powered commercial airplanes

According to Volvo- Electric cars start with a larger carbon footprint than ICEngines. EVs don't become Green until after 90k miles.

cargo vans don't need to fly 200 peeps around

but the tech for regional flights should be here within 10-15 years........whether it will make sense or not at that point idk.....and there is also the possibility of other propulsion tech to emerge

you can buy a lot of gas with the price spread too

but both are constantly changing as storage density, manufacturing efficiency, and market share increase

Like I told you before it comes down to raw materials. China owns the electrical tech industry because they own the raw materials needed.
I think they are the pushers of the green new deal.

True Fred, the real world testing is going on now with larger platform commercial trucks so I’m sure you are correct in your thoughts longer term

I’m just hoping market demand will allow gas powered GM to continue for at least the next 5-10 years
