02 GMC TAILIGHT

Just fixed my brake light on my 02 GMC van,common problem.replacement part is called a module.its a pig tail for all 3bulbs.bought it from napa.they tell me 9 of 10 vans have a brake light failure from moisture in this module.25 $

Had the same problem when I had an 02 GMC with a Butler. Don't know the parts number unfortunately because I had it fixed at the dealers.

Was this an intermittent problem? Both of my GMs will periodically have a taillight not work.

I think it did start out as an intermittent problem. It always seemed to work when I brought it in to have it fixed of course. Finally one of the mechanics said he had seen the problem before and just replaced the socket part that was causing the problem.

Seemed the brake light only went out when I was driving away from a customers home.had 2 different custys call me and say it was out.and when I pulled over to look,it worked.
