My 05 butler has had the check engine lite on ever since ny switched to 10 alcohol in there gas this spring. The code is for lean bank one and two. Is there any one else seeing this with a gmc. It will clear up driving 15 to 20 miles and comes back when working the van.

Kind of off the topic but I took my E-250 in because the check engine light was on and I have some extended warranty so I thought, yeah finally a warranty is going to pay for it self. Turn out that I didn't tighten the gas cap tight enough.

$125.00 they charged me for a gas cap and hooking it up to the computer!

There is no fuel filter on this van, just a screen-sock on fuel pump.

Check the cap and the filter. Some paper filters have to be updated so the paper doesnt dissolve from the alcohol.

Could be a bad O2 sensor. I have a 03 Chevy 1 ton and my sensor crapped out on me. They had to order a new one and it took about a week to arrive. They said the check engine light would come back on after the diagnostic but it was OK to drive. However to pull over if the light starts flashing and starts to run rough.

That's exactly what happened about 3 days later... I fried my catalitic converter. Thankfully I'm still under warranty 8/80,000.
