I'm looking for the tool that pulls that little poppet. I'm tired of throwing away perfectly good stainless fitting because of a blown o-ring. I tried to get it out using picks but they bent. Must be a special tool.

I tried that first. They bent. I could grind down some feeler gauges but they must make a tool.

I talked to the Parker tech today and he said it isn't designed to be removed. He did tell me how to get it out but said it doesn't have a replaceable oring. He said something interesting, we shouldn't be using Viton for hot water. He said we should be using ethylene propylene.

I told him the use but he said hot water destroys viton. I'll give what he recommended a shot. Just 15 for one male and it has double seals. I throw away a lot of male fittings. I've never had luck with the females either. I replace the o-rings with the green for a/c.
