I set mine at 1500 but it kicks the spring ( I think that's the noise I here) at about 1600 the vacuum Gage hits about 13 to 14 with about 150 ft of vacuum hose..........
Personally I don't think this is correct I can get this with my CDS.. I think it is off.

So don't go by mine.............

I think this is part of the reason that I am getting water in my vacuum hose

by the #'s mike gave me the other day I was thinking that it was right but then looking at the situation closer I am sure this is part of my problems.......
I think I am going to have to find someone to walk me threw this one..............I was hoping for a knuckle valve and just be done with it but sounds like they don't work well in the Vortex........

If your V is running right, there will be no way water could be in the hose. It just sucks too much. I would call BL and ask for Chuck he is very smart.

I will have to call him I am sure my problem is in the picture above.

I should be able to raise my rps more than 15 and I am sure I should be able to pull more than 13 to 14

17" or so and no water left in my vac hose...

Have you ran some rags through your hose yet?

I did and was amazed at what came out along with the rag.

yes I have I hooked up a pool filter to the inlet on the truck so I could catch everything and all that came threw was the rag. I did this twice..

I removed everything from inside the truck and flushed everything out and everything was clean

I have to wonder if it has something to do with the way the blower pipes into the tank.

Seems like a weird design.

See if Mustardtitties has that problem, he has a 720 as well.

Mustard = Chris Muetteries (sp)

btw: I'm willing to bet you can get a Bayco to work just fine on your unit, I have one working right now on an AT unit, Mike was just concerned as his was pulling high with the 18"hg valve on it.

If you want to give an 15" or 18" valve a try Jim, it pretty much just screws on, it's your to try for the cost of postage.

If you aren't dual wanding, save your money and lube your existing spring.

On a machine like Jim's which is out of warrantee I would run the Bayco IF I was duel wanding.

Single wand with one and you'll not want to do any dry passes. Now if you use your RX on everything, go for it.

Tell us more abut how much water is left in your hose...
What end of the hose?
At what lengths?
How long does it take to clear?

lube the spring, manually actuate it, and tighten it slightly when done.

single wand = no need for a better valve.

Jim...

make sure you tank lid is on ALL the way down as well..

Most V tanks are a little out of round and the lid may look like its on right but the inner ridge is actually sitting on the tank's rim.

If you're hearing a lot of hissing that may be your problem.

I have to lean against the drivers side wall and bear down on the lid to get it to seat right.

with about 150 of vacuum hose when I switch tools water will run (not drip) out the end of the wand the hose attaches to.............

when I am done with the job and remove the hose fro the connection off the truck there is some water in the connection still.

Can take it a few moments of sitting there to clear the line

there were a few time that water sat there and dripped out my hose after I wound it all back up......

Can't say that I have heard any hissing from the lid but I will check........
