There are three figures listed here -

Number of threads
Number of users
Number of posts per day.

No Posts and Board ceases to exist.

Which of these numbers best reflects the strength of a Forum ?

ICS has the longest history and a magazine behind their forum.
T m F has spend masses on advertising.
MB has spent next to nothing.

And the top 20 posters here account for more than a third of the total. There are reasons why each board has it's own set of followers and its own persona~ it's all good.

You know they count me in that. When I posted that I was deleting my account they blocked me from accessing it. I am locked out and my account and my 10 posts are still hanging out there. I can't access them, but they can.

Ask him to prove it!

It has been estimated that the industry has 30000 cleaners with 10000 leaving the industry every year. Estimates have said that there are 10000 new ones that start each year. *** can't
possibly have that many on their website.

*** is also in direct competition with it's advertisers by selling products and services, which they claim to be about 30% less in cost.

How do you attract and maintain advertisers when you compete with them?

Any thoughts?

There are at least 75,000 cleaning companies...not all just carpet of course.

Correct... sort of, I have heard the number 100k cleaning Techs thrown out but who knows how many Restoration or Janitorial Companies or Maid Services that includes.

If one Tech can clean 1,000 homes per year and there are 100 million homes in the US, it would take 100k to do that assuming every home gets cleaned once per year on average which I doubt.

I'd assume that only Company owners frequent the Boards much and of those maybe 10% even lurk let alone post.

& if you also believe what you read, carpet is on the way out with more homes being built with hard floors.

But hey, listen to the entreprenuers, these hard floor houses will have rugs to clean.

Being a loyal carpet sucker, I have polished timber floors in my house. (And a few rugs). shiteatinggrin

Ooroo,
