I've been thrown into the fire...one of my Techs in Dallas can't make his first job so I'm going to hit it.

My "rig" isn't really set up so I will have to wing it.
I cleaned my own carpets the other night (doesn't count lol) so I should be able to make this happen.

I'm using the Orbot (superzorb and agiclean pads), vacaway solutions (peroxcellent etc) and will be pre vacuuming Ron Werner style. shiteatinggrin

I've got other things in the line up for stains and deodorization so I should be cool.

At least getting all this stuff wasn't just for show. lol
Having my equipment for back up saved me today.

I'll report back later.

Hope it doesn't cause tip blooming if you have a plush carpet.

Orbot would work great for encapping commercial.

Advise from the field.
Not that it will ever happen to you, but.......

If the client complains or raises an issue if you out talk them, out loud them, that means that you are definitely absolutely more righter.

Not only that, if you have the last word.
Congratulations buddy! That means that you won!

Coming to think of it, better yet:
Get all your money worth and let the girls at FC handle the complaints :p

And don't forget that you represent all of us BDCC.
You're our hero.

Good lord...you leave a thread alone for a day and the childrens start to play. lol

Job went really well...it was a Groupon job so I got my cut baby yeah!

I didn't sell the protectant...oh well.

Really clean carpet...only 3 rooms...super nice lady and she of course loved the job

And she loved me.....you gotta know I am the master in a custy's home right? Of course. lol

I know it's all about the relationship.

She loved the "smell" after I was done...Peroxcellent is kind of like a slight bubblebum...but not in a teenage party kinda way.

I vac'd the hell out of it, sprayed the peroxcellent, scrubbed with an agiclean pad, padded with a superzorb and then post vac'd when it was dry (about 10 minutes)

On problem with the job....(I can't believe I'm going to tell you this)
When I was post vacuuming the first room I went into the closet just a little to get the line and sucked in a robe tie (whatever that it called)...it was hanging down and I guess I didn't realize the power of my new bissel because I swear I didn't get anywhere near it  shiteatinggrin

Anyway...I shit my pants and turned off the vac and gently pulled out the robe thingy. Went back to vacuuming but it sounded kinda weird..not too mention it wasn't picking up all the carpet lint the Orbot produced. Ivebeensold

Busted the belt and my dumbass didn't have another one. ...so I bit the bullet and asked the cust to borrow hers and vac'd the rest of the job.

She was totally happy and I even got a $6.00 tip...eat your heart out Mikey P. :|

PS. the job took me all of an hour and that included trying to fix the vac.
Not too mention my equipment and whatnot isn't exactly organized at all...just grabbed my stuff and went.

I had rigged up a pumpsprayer with a little compressor I bought and that worked fine....I wasn't finished rigging up my electric sprayer yet.

The extra room would be enough to fit my huge ego too. You've got a point. 8)

Re: 1st time cleaning a carpet in over 2 years...wish me luc

I'm looking forward to doing a few more.

I know it might sound ridiculous but the physical work and the face to face interactions help me deal with the other parts of the company better.
Saying this after doing one job.

I felt more focused, more enthusiastic and it just felt like I had my customer interaction game back on.

It's been a while...I'm not going to work 8 hours a day doing this crap but a couple jobs close to home here and there will be cool.

I can pick and choose....call in sick....say screw and give it to someone else....etc etc etc.

It's good to be the king.

i had the opportunity recently to try encapping . we cleaned half the room with hwe and the other half by encapping. when we were done after raking you really couldn't tell the difference. the bad news is the next day the difference was obvious and we had to hwe the rest. we did vacuum a small area first but it didn't help. it would be an alternative for high rises if they weren't very dirty.

Re: 1st time cleaning a carpet in over 2 years...wish me luc

I cleaned my own house about 3 or 4 days ago and it looks great (pad capping)...with just the normal cleaning it got rid of most of the cat puke stains...yellow.
Carpet feels nice, feels clean.

I like it.

I might go back with the stain removal stuff now...I just wanted to see what would happen with the normal pad capping.
