2.5 hose atw

anyone run it all the way to the wand. your thoughts on this please.

We run the last 20 feet to the wand 2". I would hate to carry 2.5" hose stuck to the wand.

i have tried to simulate the 2.5 atw by putting an abs flex connector over the hose (2"). i think icould deal with the grip, i guess just the flex of the hose will be the real factor and maybe the weight of it. i think it would make a big difference for any wand.

If you had a wand with a pressure washer style handle that would take away the problem of holding a larger diameter.

I've done it.. its not worth it..

Secondly.. your NOT holding a wider diameter...

You hold the wand.. not the hose.. so you're holding 2'' max.
some 1 3/4''.. and many.. 1 .5'' tubed wands.

I think the closest I would want the 2.5'' hose to my wand.. is about 25'.. being a 25' whip hose.. of 2'' flex vac hose.

I do that alot.. on shorter.. 75' length runs.

Good dry times are 3-4 hrs.
With glides.. down to the 2 hr range..
With 2.5 '' hoses.. Y's.. using both ports out of the vac tank.. about 1 hr.. or down to 45 mins or less even.
I dont see the need to get it lower than that.

You pretty much eliminate wicking...

Its like stepping over 20s to pick up 1's.
It gets to a point where its time to focus on something else..

Drytimes are over rated.. if CLEAN isn't achieved.
You can cheat dry times all day.
HOw much prespray?
Do you rinse or do you flush?
Do you jet up or jet down?

Do you make a quick dry pass.. or a slow deliberate one?

Its way too subjective.

Drytimes are like HEAT.. i pay NO attention to all the garbage chatter.

Just curious, why would you use "both" ports, by both I assume you mean 2" ports?
The Butler has a perfectly good 2.5" port, and 2.5" filterbox, just tag into that, and be done with it, No Y needed.

I like to run it when I'm cleaning a Wooly in the driveway.

That and a Airpath provide near instant dry times.

I've done it in the house a few times and the lack of flexibility is a pita.
But with Greenie's 3 port manifold on my V it's actually louder in the house then in the driveway.

I'm running a y and then the 2.5.

I have the 2.5 port but also run cool cuffs.

I store the 2.5 hose on the Butler reel with 2 inch cool cuff connectors.

How do you conveniently store the 2.5 on the reel and hook it up to the 2.5 port?

The greenhorn CMP pimped out wand is on order from you, so I want to make certain I can feed it all the suck I can.
