$2,800 Rug Cleaning Scam ?

Given the dimension, what would be the estimate?

Can i drop
them off? Can you handle that for me? If affirmative, please advise if

Thank you for contacting Advanced II Carpet Care with your cleaning project.
As is our practice, we like to give a Free onsite inspection for all of the work we do.
This allows us to properly access your cleaning and give you an honest cleaning estimate.
It appears that your Area Rugs have a few spots or spills that I would like to address upon inspection to give you a more definative expectation.
Although in your moving situation, it appears as if this might be a difficult task.
So many factors play a key role in the outcome of cleaning a rug. ie;
fiber type, fading, fringes.......
Although I do not like to quote a cost without seeing the work,
I have calculated your total Rug Square Footage to be 1,037 SqFt.
My basic Rug Cleaning price is $2.75 per Square Foot, this includes pick up and redelivery.
Based on your Square Feet, Your cleaning estimate would be approximately
$2,851.75.

Thank you for the response.

The rugs have already been picked up in Chicago and can be delivered to your location for inspection and cleaning, but i am having problems with the private transportation people as they do not accept credit cards for payment...

Mr Jerry.

I am glad to read from you. The private transportation Co requests upfront payment, can i call, fax or e mail you with my credit card to charge for the sum of $2750, you deduct $1000 as deposit for the rugs to be cleaned, you send the remaining $1750 to the the private transportation Co which will deliver the rugs?

Please advise thus i could provide you with my credit card details for you to run, and the transportation Co's details for the payment to be sent to them via Western Union.

Get the cc number and call the credit card company and see if it's been reported stolen yet.

The same exact scam was flown my way on May 29 from Mona Lisa Clinton.
She did not even make me an offer because I never gave her a price.
I thought it was pretty fishy too and actually talked to Randy about it.
