Got a Mytee Portable with onboard heater. Looking to upgrade pump to higher PSI...any leads on a supplier to go through?

Also looking to convert it to a 2 inch port...is it possible.

Also looking to get a glide for the wand...will post pics little later.

What kind of heat decrease should I expect going to a higher PSI pump...

Most Mytee portable it is really easy to take out the 1.5" and cut a hole and put in the 2" port.

The temp drop will depend on how much more water you spray on the carpet because of the higher pressure, not the pressure itself. The higher pressure will put more water on the carpet if you keep the same jets in your wand.

You will just have to try it to see.

More of an issue might be blowing more fuses. I am making an assumption that you are running two 2-stage vacs and the pump on one circuit and the heater on another circuit. The vacs and pump are already probably pulling 16 to 19 amps on a 20 amp circut. The 100 psi pump is pulling only 1 to 2 amps. The 200 psi pump 3 to 5. It may put you into the Fuse buster range all the time.

I would call Larry Cobb at Cobb carpet. He does a lot with mytee equipment. I'm
sure he would give you the information you need.

The heat is not that much of an issue because you can fill it with hot water at the job.

Save the amps for 3 stage vacs and a 500psi pumtec pump.
