This happened back in my carpet cleaning days at PRO... In the summer of around 2010-2011, I received a call from an old man who said we killed the bushes in front of his house. Claims that he found debris from when we cleaned the carpets in his bushes and we were the culprits. I dutifully pulled him the system to discover that the ONLY time we had cleaned his carpets was 10 years prior! Apparently it takes 10 years for whatever soap we used to kill his bushes. lol Coincidentally, we had been in a state of drought for over a year! lol

Walked into a house that was clearly hoarders. We walked right past some of the nastiest carpets that Ive ever seen. 12 year old dog uses the house as his toilet. As we are walking past them I'm thinking just how am I going to attack this. The guy says, not these they aren't dirty yet. He walks me to the back to the really dirty room. Heavy pre spray and 175 with the blue brush then rotovac. It came out really well. The difference was shocking even to me. He has the gall to point out a dime sized spot that didn't budge and ask why cant I get that out. I think they were also hoarding the dogs hair, I've never seen that much in one room. You can imagine the smell. This was before Odorcide. Pretty sure I boosted my prespray with bleach.

I clean for a crazy cat lady about once a year. She has a farm and the farmhouse is vacant except for the cats. Her husband is allergic so this is where she goes to spend time with her cats. I've cleaned it the last 3 years in a row and the only traffic the house sees is her occasionally and her probably 10 cats.

Fur and my clothes don't go together..... Call me Metro, fruitcake, I don't like fur on my clothes.... I'm a Hawaii boy, pets belong outside..... Although I wish we had coyotes to eat the feral and stray cats...... In our industrial area, there is literally over 100 stray cats that people who don't even work in the area love to come and feed..... Those same people feed the pigeons too.... There cars aren't the ones getting pooped on....

Rant over....

I was walking the dog a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday morning and saw one just 50-feet in the tree line. So go to investigate and as we are doing so I began to wonder if a Coyote would attack me. Or would my dog defend me. Either way he was in my back pasture last time I saw him.

Rick, they are fast, smart and cross breeding into a larger and aggressive version. If you saw one in the open, in daylight, I recommend you at least carry a stout stick (if not a pistol).
A can of hornet spray could help too.

What are they cross-breeding with?

I ran into one last month in a local "natural area". It ran toward me, but veered off when I stood my ground and shouted at it.

I've felt more threatened by pit bulls and rotweillers left off the leash by irresponsible dog owners.

The hornet spray is a good idea...thanks.

On was face to face with my dog but the dog was in the pen. He is just a puppy and wasn't even barking at the Coyote. It was 7:00 and daylight already. I opened the door to go feed the animals and it startled the coyote a little. It ran about 20 and looked back to see where I was. As I headed towards my dogs pen it ran for the tree line.

They have been pretty brave this winter having around in daylight. :errf:
