325 sq ft strip and wax. Is 500 good, too high, or too low?

This is a residential broken brick floor that is level. It already has finish on it, but it needs a good cleaning.

Nothing to be moved.

There is one small area of wood that I was going to clean or just throw it in for 500.

I don't strip and wax much.

Is this decent, or am I way off.

if you use a quality finish and put down 5-7 coats you will be there better than half the day, better charge 750-1200, its not so easy to get finish off brick just so you know.

I guess it is better to be too high than too low.

The guy finally called to book.

I will take some pics. This should be a fun little project.

I like to strip and wax every now and then.

ya dude I just read in article in cleanfax a month ago about stripping finish off brick. I would definately inform your customers that it may not come out perfect. You dont know what people have slapped on that floor and how easy or should I say how difficult it will be to stripp. This definatley has the potential to be a pain in your azz. I think ron hit it on the head. Maybe go at least six hundred . that would buy you a whole day work on it and maybe a trip back to touch up if need be.

It's not that kind of floor. If it was I would charge higher for sure. It is smooth and level. It is basically a concrete floor with chunks of brick. This should be fun.

I would have walked at inspection. You better get your scraper ready when you comeback after the light hits it the wrong way....

Only strip and wax what was meant to have a finish

Broken tile floor. I applied pro strip 1:4, gave it 20 minutes to dwell, and scrubbed with black pad. I think a concrete brush would have done better. Everything seemed to be going fine. Then I rinsed at 1000 psi and noticed I was in trouble. There was a lot of wax that was not coming off. So I turned pressure up to 1500 which was better but still not good. Finally I turned the pressure up to 2800 and that peeled the wax right off. I had to change filters three times. Two coats sealer and 4 coats finish.

The Everest saved my ass! Just want to say that anyone that buys a tm that is not high pressure or dual wand is INSANE!

not to shabby...

BUT

using a $25,000 wet vac????

why not clean it up and reapply the stripper??? There are jobs even with my equipment, you just have to do it 2 or 3 times

like i said...looks good....but while you stopped the "chunks" the liquid/slurry is what could screw it up

So, was $500.00 good money for you?

2800 PSI blowme

I’m with Doug. I don’t care to use the truckmount for this type of work, it just happens to be the biggest thing in my artillery . That job as not even close to worst case scenario. Removing dozens of coats of old finish from an uneven surface can be a bitch. I think the golden ticket would be a weighted CRB with really aggressive brushes.

Buy a shop vac for $100 to pick up the slurry in the future. Use truckmount as a final rinse only

$500 job is not worth messing with a $25k investment
Wax jobs are just too sloppy and unpredictable
