A friendly competitor in Scruz called today.

I ass dialed him the other day I he was checking in..

" Oh and by the way a price shopper called today, she didn't like my .40 and brought up that she called you and was shocked at your. 60 quote.
So what are you charging in Nevada?"

.35 I say.. but with zero overhead it feels like .70

Its not what you sell it for, its what it costs you.

What is the cost of living in Carson Valley versus Santa Cruz?

I saw a study and these numbers might be a little off but close. Maybe Fred can find it with his amazing search skills.

On average--$1 buys you 82 cent in CA and $1.15 in Nevada. I think Alabama gets the most for their money.

@Bob Savage Just because you own the shop doesn't mean it doesn't cost you anything. The alternative uses of the shop and the money that would generate should be charged to the company---for return on investment purposes at least. If your shop could be rented for $3500 a month and the business is making you 5000 per month what are you really making?

Our shop is on our residential property, so kind of weird to think about renting it out.

It's about 1500 sq. ft. (includes upstairs) and serves our purpose perfectly- heated, A/C, water and sewer, and separate electric meter with 200 AMP service. It will house 4 vehicles.

I think Bob Savage is going to make 85 the new 35. Still crankin out the carpet right Bob?
Yes, I am.

Had a job Thursday and Friday, power stretch 6 bedrooms, a basement rec room which was 3 rooms, a LR, DR, Office, and Great room - busted 4 seams, did a couple of cat repairs (full of furniture), and then cleaned all of that on Friday, plus 2 sets of steps 17 per flight, deodorized for 5 cats and 2 dogs. Then I did another pad replace, tackless replace, seal sub-floor, deo, and s/c BR that afternoon by myself.

Not quite 85 yet, but I am 72 next month.

Love that hot tub every morning!

....and, I like this profession!

Yes, it is a profession. Kudos to y'all!!!
