Hi Guys:

Wev'e got an about 4 month old demo unit that is leaking @ the swivel. It may or may not be covered, but we need it fixed this afternoon. I'm assuming it has replacable O rings. Has anybody fixed this before I tear into it?

Sincerely,
Dale

most swivels can be rebuilt.but you will need the numbers off of it so you can get the right kit.....

Re: 360i leaks @ swivel? IMO weak spot in the system!

Well, as I guessed, it was an O ring. And with it being Saturday, the only one that I could find was Nitril, better would have been Viton, or better yet Perfluoroelastomer.

The sad thing is it lasted only 4 months, and Rotovac only offers the complete swivel as a part for sale. Changing O rings is an easy repair. But if you do it, be sure and take pictures your first time, because the parts just fall out. Rotorvac should realize this is a weak spot and have a crosssection picture in the manual.

If I have time Monday, I will call them, because they owe me a new swivel.

Sincelrey,
Dale
