[quote="Steven Hoodlebrink":1mhygf0x]Are you asking is there a performance difference between going 100 ft before the Y or 50ft ?

yes I am asking that[/quote:1mhygf0x]

The short answer is yes. However how much improvement would be determined by the total hose run and the systems lift tolerence capability.

Because Jim is a friend, I'm gonna give him the beer drinking answer.
Where in the hell have you been, hell yes it makes a difference.

Now the polite answer:
The closer the Y is to the wand, the greater the vacuum is at the tool. This is why we sell so much 2.5" hose, it's one thing to string out two 50' sections and hook up, but it's another to string out 100' x 2. Also storage on the reel.

Should I make a 2.5" coolcuff pool filter conversion? It really needs a larger filter body, and strainer...
