Sometime in July Mytee will begin shipping the new Carbon Fiber Bentley that weighs in at 9.5 lbs. The graphite tube is stronger than Stainless Steel and a lot lighter.

Terje Brevik uses a Bentley wand, but I don't know if it is the XL version. I have a 14" standard length that was "pimped" by Greenie (Hole Greenglide, cool wrap over the tube (that solution line gets HOT), and adjusted jets). I didn't care for it much at first, but after a few jobs with it, I wouldn't ever go back to my old wand (1.5" tubed 2-jet 12" head POS).

he probably is thinking of weight and maybe he doesnt use a glided wand right now and is going to glide the bently. buts thats maybe

The Bentley comes glided. We also made a prototype without a swivel, weight is just over 8 lbs and about $100.00 less. Mytee is sending one for Mikey to critique. We're waiting for our production run of tubes, then we'll start shipping.

What makes you think a lighter weight wand is going to help your back?

I don't know, maybe John from Mytee would, but I thought the "XL" was for taller guys, maybe that's what he meant?

I thought they made a standard 8314....then the 8314XL.....the XL being several inches longer.

Yes, you are right. The regular is for short people like me (5'8") The XL or tall is for Mikey size guys. Same price. We also are making a 12" Reg. and XL. The other option will be under tube valve and gun type on top. And as mentioned, Mytee will have a wand with swivel and with/out. Some good options that will allow the PCC to essentially customize the wand to fit themselves.

A longer wand would certainly help a bad back.

as would any wand that does not need to be leaned over to keep the head from chattering.

My back and rotor cuff both hurt because the wand is probably too short, the secondary handle always slips down and the wand is much heavier then the 2"wand that came with my thermalwave2 or my old 1.5 hydrahoe(obviously). What does the original bentley weigh? Even with glide it seems hard to push too.

I'll have the Pivot-less Carbon Mytee any day now and the Stryker as soon as it hits the newsstands.

Stay tuned for some honest reviews.

Matt,
If your handle is slipping down, why not tighten it up? A forward assist really needs to be tight. I know "some" have a poor design and bottom out the bolts when tightened all the way, but a thick rubber washer or other material can easily be used to shim the backing plate and get you a few more turns on the bolts, problem solved.

As for it being heavier than your TWII wands, depending on the year, you either had a CMP or a WestPak, neither are that heavy for their class, so that is entirely possible, so what wand is it you CURRENTLY have?

I really like the concept of the carbon fiber wand and need a good backup to my Greenhorn, but the Evolution wand was such a joke I have my doubts about such a light wand actually working well. I really hope I am wrong.

I still can't say enough good things about the Mytee 3-stage booster and await the verdict on the new carbon fiber wand.

Because carbon fiber is much stronger than aluminum. It will not dent or corrode. It also has the swivel that allows you to clean under a bed or desk or in a corner without moving any furniture. This is a lifetime tool that can be rebuilt as needed. And at $669.00 it's the best buy out there. You should try it before forming an opinion. You just might be pleasantly surprised.

Dist. are placing orders now. We are doing limited production at this time so first come first served. I was at Proline for CAD at San Carlos on Thursday and Friday (Nathan went to the CAD at Sacramento on Saturday) and we ran the Bentley on a Hydramaster TM and it performed very well.

I will try it if it's available at a local distributer.

I have a couple "JUNK" PMF wands that I made the mistake of buying by a catalog sale.

See it , Feel it, make love to it , Buy it.

We have a distributor right in Omaha that could help you with the Bentley. Please contact Monte with Brite-N-Kleen at (402) 597-6540. Tell him you spoke with Brett at Mytee regarding the Bentley wand. We will send a Bentley to Brite-N-Kleen on T & E where you could demo the wand. If you are not happy with the wand there is no obligation and Monte could return it to us.

Please let me know if you have any questions!
